在1783年，德國出生的珠寶商人和業餘科學家Jacob Schweppe 大膽嘗試，發明了世界上第一個汽水商業生產系統，並成立了Schweppes Company。及後，該公司更成功打進英國白金漢宮，贏得英國皇室的無比寵愛！

Schweppes 商標的設計概念源於1851年倫敦萬國工業博覽會，當年Schweppes 是活動的官方飲料，而博覽會入口的一個噴水池，其後更成為品牌商標的一部份。
